The Halloween night
Panel #1: View from above, it is night, there is a full moon in the sky. Down we can see Pepper’s home and a thick white fog covering the ground. The trees are moving because a strong wind is blowing.
Big letters show a howling in the night: AWWWWW!
Panel #2: A similar scene from before: Night, fog, Pepper’s home… but now we can partially see on one of the sides of the frame a standing up werewolf. Just the two legs, the hanging tail, one arm with a scary claw… The werewolf is facing towards Pepper’s home.
Panel #3: The reader is now inside Pepper’s home. We are at the hall, facing the main door. Everything is dark, and the only light is the moon entering through the window. We can see the trees outside of the window, they are bended because of the strong winds.
Panel #4: The door opens towards the reader, with a sound of “WREEEEEEEEEEK”. We can see the hand that is opening the door from outside: it is a big hairy claw.
Panel #5: The reader is now facing one of the walls of the corridor, we can see some nice pictures of Pepper and Carrot hanging from the wall, and a old style wall clock. The shadow of the werewolf is against the wall, showing a perfect profile of the werewolf head, big mouth open with evil smile and lots of pointy teeth.
Panel #6: The reader sees now Pepper and Carrot. They are sleeping deeply in their bed. Pepper has a big open mouth and a bubble coming out of the nose. Again, the only light is the moonlight coming in from the window of the bedroom.
Panel #7: For the first time the reader sees now the werewolf, a really menacing beast: big, tall, full of pointy teeth and claws. It is walking up the stairs that lead to the second floor of the house. The werewolf is putting one of his big claws on the stair’s holding bar, and his mouth shows an evil smile. Coming from the feet a “NYIIIIIIIIIIC” sound comes out.
Panel #8: The reader sees now the werewolf from the back, it is staying quiet, staring at a closed door with a sign that reads “Pepper’s room”.
Panel #9: We see now Pepper sleeping again, but the shadow of the werewolf’s head covers Pepper’s head.
Panel #10: Still with a sleepy face, Pepper opens her eyes. She is rubbing her eyes with one hand. Carrot is also waking up.
Pepper: Mmmmm… is there someone?…
Panel #11: The reader is seeing now from Pepper’s vision: the image is blurry because she is just opening her eyes, so everything is a bit distorted. In the middle of the image we see the blurry and distorted Werewolf.
Panel #12: The reader has now a clear vision of the same scene than before. The werewolf is now perfectly defined and with a very menacing appearance.
Panel #13: Pepper and carrot hug to each other and scream out of terror.
Panel #14: Pepper, Carrot, Cayenne and the werewolf are now in the living room downstairs. Pepper is wearing a pyjama while Cayenne is wearing a night gown that looks funny on her. Pepper is infuriated, she is yelling at the werewolf. The werewolf has his ears facing down and the tail down too. It is like a scared puppy.
Pepper: You almost kill me!! Do you think it is normal to enter other people’s house like this?! And what are you doing dressed like this???
Panel #15: We see a transition of half-transparent shapes of the werewolf decreasing in size and turning more human. The final shape is the shortest of them all and the one that looks more “solid”. She is Coriander.
Panel #16: A fully formed Coriander says to Pepper
Coriander: I did not want to ring the bell and wake Cayenne up. And transforming from human into werewolf all the time is exhausting, so I prefer to keep the shape if possible.
Coriander: But you know Pepper… it is Halloween eve… So the girls and me are going to Komona for the Halloween night. We thought you could join us…”
Panel #17: Pepper looks surprised
Pepper: Halloween night? I was not going to celebrate it because I am in the middle of my training. It would be great! But.. I do not have… any costume.
Panel #18: Coriander looks happy.
Coriander: Do not worry, we will prepare something fast for you!
Panel #19: Pepper looks worried, she is asking something to Cayenne.
Pepper: Cayenne, can I go with my friends and celebrate the Halloween night?
Panel #20: Cayenne is smiling condescend to Pepper.
Cayenne: Yes, but as long as you look like a real witch of Chaosah.
Panel #21: Pepper and her friends are flying on their brooms direction to Komona (Landscape of Komona , decorated with Halloween lights on the background). We see the werewolf-Coriander, a vampire-Safron, and Shichimi with a japanese demon costume. Pepper is dressed as the Wicked Witch of West, as portrayed by Margaret Brainard Hamilton. Carrot is dressed up as one of the flying monkeys.
They are all happy and laughing, flying together.
